What is Grazing for Good?
Sign upOverview
Grazing for Good brings together livestock farmers in York and North Yorkshire to learn about profitable and resilient regenerative grazing practices. Expect mentoring and events until December 2027. It's entirely free to join, just sign up to let us know you're coming.
Events and mentoring
Expect 20+ on-farm events and webinars exploring regenerative grazing, but covering topics and skills shaped by your needs. Plus, 1:1 or small group peer mentoring.
Data collection
Working with three focus farms, we'll be collecting detailed baseline data to provide evidence on how regenerative grazing methods can support viable food production while enhancing soil health, sequestering carbon, and reducing dependence on inputs, therefore delivering economic resilience.

Frequently asked questions
Can I join the programme if I am not based in the project area?
It is part of the stipulation of the funding that those joining the programme of events and mentoring must be farming in the York and North Yorkshire combined authority.
Can I join the programme if I am already a PfL member?
Yes. PfL members farming in the York and North Yorkshire combined authority area can join the programme and make the most of both the events and mentoring. PfL members farming outside of this area will still be invited to join us at the events (although they will not have access to mentoring.)
Do I have to become PfL certified if I join the programme?
No, there is no expectation to become PfL certified although we are happy to help you on your journey towards certification if that is appropriate for you. Learn more about PfL certification here.
What is a focus farm?
We are working with three farmers (farming 50ha or more) who are already using adaptive multi paddock (AMP) grazing approaches on their farms. These farms are acting as living classrooms, allowing others to benefit from their experience of what has worked and not worked. You will be invited to at least two events on each farm.
Additionally, we are working with Regenerate Outcomes to collect an in-depth set of baseline data on each focus farm. This data will inform the knowledge exchange program, helping other farmers understand more about how baseline data could benefit their farming businesses.
I still have questions. Who can I contact?
Contact us using this form, for the attention of Amy.
