Tim Bowden is a livestock grazier and independent grassland agronomist.

Tim's background
Tim currently grazes cattle on some 450 acres of permanent pasture in south Dorset. The land includes coastal wetlands, lowland meadows and chalk downland. Tim has forty years of experience in hands-on livestock production including 20 years with outdoor pigs.
Tim also has some 20 years of experience delivering knowledge transfer for farmers on a one-to-one and one-to-many basis. With extensive experience of agri-environment schemes and working to minimise diffuse pollution from agriculture, clients have included government agencies, large farming companies and family farming businesses.
With a master’s degree in sustainable and efficient food production from Aberystwyth University in 2019, Tim is a firm believer in the importance of continuous learning. He became a FACTS qualified adviser in 2023 and now specialises in soil and nutrient management advice. He is a passionate advocate of the principles of regenerative farming and a firm believer in the importance of livestock in UK farming systems.
